Terms of Guarantee
BUYERS RESPONSIBILITIES
Have pup examined by a licensed veterinarian within time allotted on guarantee. Buyer must take pup to the vet within 72 hours of receiving pup. Seller must be informed of results of vet check whether good or bad by midnight on same day, via email. It is not necessary to obtain a written report from your vet. Just inform me of how it went. Failure to do this by buyer will result in the cancellation of this guarantee. No excuses. YOU, the buyer will invalidate any/all terms of contract by not notifying me of results and you will terminate your rights to any compensation. The guarantee/contract is invalid if conditions are not met.
Provide pup with routine preventative care such as but not limited to:
Annual physical exam by your vet
Follow vet guidelines on deworming, heartworm prevention and vaccinations
Provide a premium food
House the animal correctly, no chains in the backyard
Health guarantee
This pup is guaranteed for 12 months against fatal and life altering congenital disease which adversely affects the health of the animal. This includes severe hip dysplasia which hampers dogs movement and requires surgery to return him to ambulatory state. Kidney, heart, pancreas, spine and liver problems of a severe, life threatening in nature. If the dogs dies within the one year time frame, the buyer will pay to have the pup autopsied. If reason is congenital or genetic, seller will replace pup within 12 months of report.
This guarantee does not cover what we in the bulldog breeds consider normal. Cherry eye, entropion, ecotropin, loose hips or knees, allergies, soft palate issues, trachea issues, stenotic nares, inverted tails, fertility issues, parasitic, fungal or bacterial infection, respiratory infection etc. Buyers understands that bulldogs are special and that special consideration must be given if buying one of these breeds.
All items covered by this guarantee are for replacement only. You must return the affected pup at buyers expense and we will replace him/her. We do not give refunds.
Seller is not responsible for any medical expenses incurred. Buyer is aware that owning a pup means trips to the vet and bills. Buyer understands he/she will be responsible for all vet bills. Pup has been vet checked prior to leaving us and found to be in good health.
As of the date of delivery, your puppy will be current on vaccinations and deworming. The buyer has been informed of these. Buyer is aware puppy will need more vaccinations and dewormings and agrees to provide these. Buyer understands that though his/her pup is current on shots, more are needed to provide immunity to disease.
Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Pup must be paid in full before it leaves us.
Pup is guaranteed against parvo virus and distemper for 48 hours upon arrival to your home. Buyer must have ELISA test performed within this 48 hours if claiming either of these viruses.
This guarantee does not include coccidia or kennel cough, both of which can be common in puppies. Kennel cough is usually self limiting. Full recovery is expected and on its own is not life threatening.
A pup showing serious or severe congenital defect will be replaced as follows:
Animal must show defect by 12 months of age. Seller must be notified of the problem within 2 days of diagnosis. Buyer must have reports from 2 licensed vets from 2 unassociated veterinarians. These reports must reach the same diagnosis and conclusion. Seller will replace pup with one of equal or greater value within 12 months. Replacement pup is chosen by seller.
A pup with a defect must be returned to seller or if the situation is grave enough, euthanized with prior permission from the seller, for buyer to be qualified for replacement pup.
No refund in full or part will be given.
The returned pup must be in good condition, other than specified problem. Buyer is responsible for all costs to return pup to seller. Buyer is also responsible for costs to get the replacement pup to buyer.
No replacement will be given to buyer if pup is euthanized without sellers permission. No replacement will be given if pup dies and buyer does not perform autopsy or if autopsy does not show congenital defect caused the death of pup.
Any physical problem which is or could be caused by accident or injury, neglect or poor diet is not covered in this guarantee.
There is no guarantee or warranty that buyer will be able to breed or show the pup, regardless of show potential.
This contract is null and void if the terms are not met.
This contract is good for original buyer only and is not transferable. If buyer refuses to pay balance, changes mind or does not take timely delivery of the pup, the deposit is forfeited. Deposits are NONREFUNDABLE for anything other than pup is found to have a serious health issue at our vet check or you have placed a deposit on a future pup and for whatever reason that pup is not born or found to have a serious defect.
Because of the variety and quality of pet foods available (and all illnesses are not covered by vaccinations) we REQUIRE that all Cherokee Point puppies and kittens be kept on NuVet vitamins. This nutritional supplement is only available through breeder or veterinarian recommendation. You will be instructed concerning this when you take possession of your pet. NOTE: This health guarantee will be considered null and void if you do not keep your pet on this supplement.
Buyer agrees and understands that this contract is the only guarantee set forth. Buyer also understands that place of venue and jurisdiction in Winnebago County IL
No other warranties, either expressed or implied.
